SACRAMENTO – Sacramento County sheriff's deputies arrested a man in connection with the deadly shooting of a man driving a vehicle in the Arden Arcade area.

A release from the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department said Joe Miles, 23, was booked into the Sacramento County Jail Monday night as a suspect in the fatal shooting of Marquelle Jones, 25, on Sept. 9.

Jones was shot while driving his vehicle near an In-N-Out burger restaurant in the Arden Arcade area on Sept. 9.

Jones was a key witness to a high-profile murder trial in which an innocent mother was fatally shot during a gun battle at a south Sacramento barbershop in December 2010.
