Feds seeks to strip citizenship from man serving 40 years for child sex crimes

In a complaint filed today at U.S. District Court in Sacramento, the United States government is seeking to strip a man of his American citizenship claiming he falsified information during his naturalization process.
The defendant in the case, Christian Oribello Eguilos, 41, is currently serving a 40-year sentence after pleading nolo contendere to and was convicted of multiple counts of Forcible Lewd Act Upon a Child. Eguilos is an inmate at the Mule Creek State Prison in Ione, California.

Granite Bay Fast Food-Real Estate Mogul

A well known real estate and fast food mogul plead guilty yesterday to charges of wire fraud, bank fraud and making false statements to a federally insured financial institution. The plea was entered at the US District Court in Sacramento by Abolghasseni “Abe” Alizadeh, 59, of Granite Bay, California. 
Alizadeh, who built his Kobra Properties, with a chain of Jack in the Box restaurants as its centerpiece, saw his empire collapse during the Great Recession. The guilty admission stems from a scheme between 2005 through 2006 where Alizadeh defrauded six area banks out of $22 million... Read More

Man pleads guilty to real estate Fraud, white collar enhancement

A man who was charged with a variety of charges entered guilty pleas on Friday at Sacramento Superior Court.
Dennis Joseph Giacopetti (also know as Dennis Jacopetti) pled no contest to forgery, grand theft and filing false documents. Giacopetti also admitted the aggravated white collar enhancement and the enhancement for commission of a felony while released from custody on another case. 
Giacopetti advertised the businesses Legal Aid Services of California and Legal Aid of California online and through Craigslist. Although he was not an attorney, Giacopetti represented himself as an attorney in order to obtain clients.
